Explore Pelvic Health through Yoga and Alexander Technique

Let me be frank, most of us women of a certain age have experienced some worry over our pelvic health… from the cosmetic worry about the effect of gravity (or inactivity) on our glutes to, urgency or sneeze-pees, all the way to prolapse or incontinence and everything in between. It’s a part of our body, that cops a lot of our stress and anxiety.

And honestly, most of us would rather not have to deal with it, but ignoring the problem just makes it worse and our bladder/pelvic floor can end up playing a starring role in our life at the most inopportune times, our body literally crying out for attention. When we don’t give our body/pelvis the attention it needs, we can be left feeling unsupported, saggy, even helpless and alone.

If you nourish your pelvis with the knowledge and movement it needs, then your pelvis will love and support you back, allowing you to live the active, engaged, creative, abundant life you want to live.

This workshop does just this; you will learn more about how your pelvis works in relationship to your whole body/self, learn how to spice up your pelvic floor exercises and how to integrate pelvic and self-care into your everyday life as well as explore your pelvis as a catalyst for creativity.

This workshop is for you if you:

  • get bored by pelvic floor exercises and end up not doing them

  • are tired of doing the same exercises without the results you want

  • are struggling with urgency, leakages, or incontinence

  • are plagued by mentrual cramps, pelvic or low-back pain, prolapse, hemorrhoids, or constipation

  • can’t get inspired to work on your pelvic health

  • want self-care time to be pleasurable, expressive, and connected to your environment

  • want to integrate self-care and exercise into your everyday life

In this workshop, you’ll experience how self-care and restorative pelvic floor exercises can be pleasurable as well as interesting.

Alone, pelvic floor exercises may address the physical symptoms of pelvic floor disorders and get you out of acute strife, but in the long term they may not address the whole picture of you.

We’ll explore expressions of generosity to ourselves, others and our world as well as the delicate balance between giving and receiving. A balanced pelvis is the foundation for an active, abundant life…a strong base from which to serve the world.

In this workshop we’ll explore practices from yoga and the Alexander Technique that allow you to:

• Reduce or eliminate pain and discomfort so you can live actively

• Feel confident that you know how your pelvic floor works so you can get it functioning well, and keep it that way

• Be healthy, confident and free in all situations

• Be a model of great pelvic floor habits for your family

• Love your body during all the phases of your life!

Come to this workshop and take the next step toward a leak-free, pain-free life!
